Grandma Hilda's Texas Brisket

AKA "Beef in a Sauna"

3lb beef brisket
1 bottle of barbecue sauce
Foil

As early as possible the day before cooking, spread barbecue sauce on sheet of foil. Put brisket on foil and cover with sauce. Wrap up TIGHTLY in 3 layers of foil. *

Refrigerate.

Cooking day:
Remove brisket from refrig about an hour before you want to cook it.

Preheat oven to 325 °

Put foil-wrapped brisket in pan and pour 2 cups of water into the pan.

Cover the pan tightly with foil. DO NOT remove foil during cooking.

Bake for 3 hours at 325 °

Extra barbecue sauce to serve with roast is a good idea.

*A roasting bag may be subsituted for the foil, or try World's Easiest Brisket.
