Florence Fisher's Mayonnaise

Beat two egg yolks* until thick, then add Wesson oil a little (1 tsp) at a time, beating between additions. Add paprika, prepared mustard (1/2 tsp), 1 tablespoon white Karo syrup, while adding oil.

When it gets thick, alternate oil with vinegar (maybe 1/4 cup vinegar altogether until it is sour enough), vinegar will thin it.

After all the ingredients are in, add 2 tablespoons boiling water and finish beating.
