Mince Pie

One box of Borden's mincemeat
1 1/2 cups water
1 can raisins (Yes, you're right. Pretty vague.)
2 or more diced apples
a little bit of lemon juice
pastry for two-crust pie

Crumble mincemeat into a saucepan, add water, bring to boil. Cook and stir one minute, let cool. Mix in other ingredients, turn into pastry-lined pie dish. Cover with second crust, seal edges, cut slits in top crust.
If desired, brush top crust with 1 egg yolk plus 2 tsp of water beaten together.

Bake at 425° for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
