Pecan pie

Partially cook (5-7 min) an empty pie shell, let cool.


Cream together
1/4 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

beat in 3 eggs

stir in 1/2 cup light corn syrup or molasses
1 1/2 cups broken pecan pieces
1 tsp vanilla or 1 tbsp rum
3/4 tsp cinnamon (opt.)


Pour into pie shell. Arrange pecan halves decoratively on the top of the mixture.

Bake 45 minutes at 350° or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
