Hilda's 1950's Strawberry Pie
1 prebaked pie shell
1 small package frozen strawberries
1 package strawberry jello (3-4 ounce size)
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup cold water
1/2 pint whipping cream, whipped to stiff peaks
Mix jello, sugar, egg and water and bring to a boil.
While mixture is still hot stir in frozen strawberries and stir until berries
dissolve.
Let mixture sit in pan until cooled.
After mixture has cooled stir in whipped cream.
Pour into pie shell and refrigerate overnight.
(And one might add "Take to an elegant dinner party while wearing white gloves
and pearls.")
